NicheOnDemand 2.0 – Back From The Dead And Ready For Business!

This image courtesy of The Big Toy Hut on Flickr.comAfter a grueling month of in-depth analysis, development and restructuring NicheOnDemand.com is finally re-opened for business!  I can’t even begin to describe how exited I am.

Not only did I focus on increasing the already awesome quality of our niche website packages, but I also brought on some experts during the process to assist in the development of kick-ass services to help you succeed online.

Better Niche Website Packages

Taking almost a year of feedback and suggestions from our sales on Sitepoint.com, we managed to beef up our Niche Website Packages by adding previously known add-ons as standard features.  For example, our Niche Domination package priced at $327 USD now includes the PLR Ebook, Amazon Store and Video Gallery addons.

WordPress Services

For those of you who are familiar with WordPress you’re probably thinking, “why would I pay someone to install WordPress for me when I can do it myself?”  My answer is simple – you’d be surprised to know that a great majority of people online, with or without websites, have no idea how to fully optimize WordPress to ensure maximum performance.  We now have a WordPress Services page, with 3 affordable WordPress installation/optimization packages to choose from, giving you a solid foundation for your niche website or business.

Consultation Services

I’ve been providing consultation on keyword research and WordPress for quite some time now, just previously it was by referral only.  After seeking the advice of my own mentors and support system, I’ve decided to open up my Online Consultation Services to the public.  Using some great technologies you can now speak with me one on one and watch my computer screen to see exactly what it is that I’m showing you and how I do it step by step.

Tutorials Section

I’ve always tried to provide great tutorials to my paying clients, combining video, audio and documentation.  After some consideration, I decided it would only be appropriate to  increase the value of my services by providing my clients – past, present and future – with an in depth archive of web tutorials covering all things WordPress, marketing and design.

Other Stuff

Aside from the new and improved services, you can expect a killer freebies section jam-packed with reports, ebooks, courses, videos and software that will help you and your niche business conquer the search rankings.  As well, we are currently in the works of develping our own built-in marketplace in which we will be selling our infamous niche website packages.  No more success fees and third party crap – you’ll now be able to buy our pre-made unique packages directly from us and completely cut out the middle man.

To the future and beyond!

Cheers and Beers,

Elijah

Karma, Good Deeds and Free Superfruit Juice

monavie-acai-berry-juiceYes yes y’all… Just wanted to touch base real quick and share a moment of karma and good-deed-doing with you.  If you can recall, back in December of 2008 I was looking at some domains and stumbled upon TheStressFactor.com, only to realize that the same guy owned all of the other TLD’s.  Well being the good chap that I am, I decided to contact him and let him know it was available rather than buy it and extort him for a nice profit.

This good deed landed me a great connection, as well as a butt-load of free PLR from one of his sites!

Anyways, last week I received an email from a previous Sitepoint contact who acquired one of my niche websites, PinkRibbonWomen.com, from a previous buyer.  He contacted me with regards to helping him get a few things sorted out and set up on the site – which I eagerly offered to help him with.

Once finished, he notified me that he is a distributer of MonaVie Acai Berry products and offered to send me a bottle as a token of his awesomeness and appreciation – which I eagerly accepted being the health product junkie that I am.  I promised him that once I received his gift I would blog about it to my awesome friends and partners to show him some bloggerhood love.  He sent me a 750 ml bottle of MonaVie Acai Berry premium blend – which is not cheap!

So that’s that.  Another story of karma and doing good things online.  I want to give a big shout out to Marc – my future MonaVie juice distributor – for his good form (as Captain Hook would say).

You never know who you’re going to meet online, but one thing I do know for sure is that the Internet population is much more kind when compared to the real world.

At Home Freedom: Stop Thinking And Start Doing

This awesome image courtesy of londonstreetart2 on Flickr.com

Ahhhh… At home freedom.  Sounds great, doesn’t it?  The truth of the matter is that now more than ever people are desperate for a lifestyle change, especially one that allows them to have freedom of time, finance and location.  I mean, who doesn’t want more time to do what they want?  Who doesn’t have dreams of one day being free of debt or being able to travel this (still beautiful) planet without worrying about financial or career restraints? I do.

Every fu**ing day.

But here’s the problem:  80% of people who have these desires for change and prosperity spend most of their time thinking about an ideal lifestyle, but if you’re constantly thinking and reading about it – when will you actually have time to do it?  Here’s an example of what I’m talking about:

Everyday after work, for the last 2 years, Joe Blow comes home and turns on his computer.  He goes to the  money making forums to check the action on his favorite threads.  He’s always the first to order the latest “cash cow” hard copy from some guru-schmuck on Amazon.

He spends at least 3 hours a night absorbing methods and reading what other people have done/are doing.  He hates his job.  He can’t sleep at night and for the last 2 years he’s been waiting for his time to come.

The at home freedom.  It’s gotta be out there, somewhere…

I don’t want to pull your pants down, but I’m sure some of you reading this fall into Joe’s scenario quite comfortably.  You’re so caught up in the “idea” of the dream that you’ve accomplished very little towards actually making it a reality.

I get emails all the time from people asking me how they should get started with this, or if I have any suggestions for that.  To be honest, most of the questions I receive can and have been answered 3743 times elsewhere online, but for some reason they assume I might reveal an untold truth – which is fair enough.  And almost everytime I end with the same thing, “The best advice I can give you is to just write down your goals, the steps required to achieive them, and start doing the necessary actions to complete these steps little by little.  Stick with it, and before you know it you’ll be where you want to be.”

I can’t stress this enough.

You have to start DOING.  Once you start DOING you have to KEEP DOING.  If it isn’t working, figure out why and DO IT DIFFERENTLY.  Stop thinking, start DOING and fucking stick with it!  Success is inevitable.

Let’s take me for example… Back in October I was not seeing the light at the end of the tunnel.  I had been out of work and struggling to make ends online for over 4 months.  My bills were past due, we were eating like shit and though I made a few bucks flipping websites, it was not coming together.

I was about to sell this blog, cash out and call it a day.

9 months later, in April to be exact, I cleared almost $4000 in profit, which enabled me to pay for a nice 1 week vacation to Vancouver – in cash – with enough money in the pocket to live like royalty for a week and get drunk with the SuiteJ clan.

Still waiting for the video footage.

Back in October I was spending way too much time thinking about how I should be doing things, instead of actually doing them, making mistakes, and doing them better.  I was caught up with the success of those around me, instead of enjoying my own small victories.

Anyways – I really hope you guys get what I’m saying here.  Anyone can do anything.  I don’t care if you have a mortgage, 7 kids, 3 husbands and a midget housecleaner who you pay in peanuts and paint chips;  the real at home freedom is there for the taking.  Spend less time fucking around on Twitter and more time working on your goals.  If you aren’t sweating then you’re doing something wrong.

I’m not kidding!

Assess your scenario.  Write shit down.  Develop the steps needed to accomplish them and DO IT.  Whether it’s making $100 a day passively through a network of Adsense blogs – do it!  If you want to flip websites for cash and be a pyjama pimp like me – do it!  There is nothing stopping you but you.

I know I’m ranting, but so what.  It’s the truth and you know it.

Cheers,

Elijah

I’m No Longer Jealous, Just Green.

So I’m into week three of working from home. Thankfully I had a couple projects that Elijah sent my way. He’s been keeping me busy. This is the best way to live. Yesterday, because we finally had a nice day in Toronto, Eli and I bought some sandwiches and sat in a park to eat lunch. Then we went on a walk to explore the neighbourhood that I’ve never seen, because that’s what I wanted to do. I started thinking about the past three weeks and the things I didn’t have to do anymore; I don’t have to wake up at 5:30 in the morning anymore, I don’t have to travel for ridiculous amounts of time anymore and I don’t have to spend so much money on food anymore. Now I can do these things when I want to.

On that note, I’ve also realized that all these things that I don’t have to do anymore shrink my personal carbon footprint dramatically. (Well, except waking up so early, more sleep=more energy and that just makes me happy.) The more and more I think about, working from home is such an eco friendly way to live my life, and all I had to do was quit my job.

Eli and I have always talked about being greener and how we are going to live greener in the future. We have plans to build our own home completely off the grid. We’ve done things like only eat organic food, and local and organic fruits and vegetables. We’ve even cut meat and dairy out of our diets for the most part. We deal with Toronto’s horrible transit system, in order to hold off buying a car until we REALLY need one. We compost in our tiny apartment, even though we end up with fruit flies. We are definitely not martyrs, we don’t take part in protests or parades, but we definitely try to do our part.
Now that I’m working from home, I’m not contributing to the wasteful use of paper on a daily basis, or emissions from the bus that I took twice a day, not to mention the time I’ve saved myself. My commute now is from the bedroom to the office. And most importantly I save energy. Because I work by a big window, I have the luxury of beautiful natural light. I control the temperature. If it’s too cold, I just put on a big fat sweater. It’s an awesome feeling to have choice.

I’m still in awe of this new life. Every day I seem to be learning something, and I have always craved that. Living a greener work lifestyle is the perfect complement to the way we are living now, and it’s only going to get better. It makes me wonder, are people who work from home generally more eco friendly than their commuting counterparts? I’ve always been jealous of people who worked from home, little did I know that being green was such a big part of it.

Custom Paypal Payment Page & Customer Experience

This awesome image courtesy of JeremyHead on Flickr.comHey guys – going to keep this relatively short and sweet.  Paypal is the king of all online merchants, and as you know, WordBoo.com (our SEO Article Writing venture) has officially launched.  During the month or so of developing this website I had quite a few “cherry popping” experiences i.e. setting up an affiliate program and what I’m going to go over today, creating and implementing a custom Paypal payment page.

When it comes to an online start-up, or simply improving your existing online business model, there are so many little things that can make a huge difference when taking your customers from point A to point B – and having a transparent transaction process will impact the overall success of a digital-goods-fueled environment.

In other words, your shit needs to be smooth and seamless.

Taking 20 minutes to set up a custom Paypal payment page for your clients to identify with is a great way to start – what really amuses me is that not too many people (myself included) know how to do this!

So I put together a quick tutorial with Camtasia as I was doing it myself, figured it wouldn’t hurt to save two birds with one cage.  Feel free to click on the link below and watch the video – it’s about 8 minutes long, so grab a coffee and relax.

Let me know if this was helpful at all – if you get stuck somewhere or need some graphics done, holler back!

WordBoo.com Is Here: Affordable Web 2.0 Content Services

Boo To Expensive Writers!Taking the “con” out of content and putting the “art” back in article!

After several weeks of development and planning, WordBoo.com is officially open to the public.  Being a professional blogger, site flipper and web developer has given me the ability to write on any topic – because before I started making money I couldn’t afford to outsource my articles, so I had no choice but to write them myself!

Over the last few months I’ve put together a small team of writers here in Toronto – all ready to work with you, not for you, on your next Web 2.0 project.  Our laptops are powered up and we’re ready to kick some ass – so let’s go!

WordBoo.com will be partnering with you to provide the following services:

We carefully craft each piece of content with the sole purpose of sparking participation from the reader.  Whether that action is to click, comment, submit or subscribe – this focus is what defines the quality of our work, and more importantly, what makes our content ready to be published throughout various Web 2.0 applications.

Here’s a little back story of how WordBoo.com came to fruition…

As my various business ventures started to take off, I realized that the Internet was polluted with content that most copywriters and seasoned veterans would consider to be just short of crappy – and this has become a serious problem.

I decided that to combat this issue I would have to provide a content creation service that was not only above par, but also affordable and targeted.  The web needs content that is engaging, witty and humorous.  Webmasters need content that is accessible, reliable and results-oriented and this is how WordBoo was born.

The Internet of today is an entity which is driven by it’s users via applications, communities and conversations.  At the middle of these interactions is something we all take for granted – high quality content.  WordBoo.com is different than any other writing service on the market.  We look different, talk different and write different.

We encourage you to be different as well – and stop by our residence to see what we’re all about!

For all you ninjas who are interested in spreading the word and making some cash, we’ve also set up an affiliate program which rewards a healthy 15% commission across the board.  Our lowest content package is $27 USD with our highest package (advertised) at almost $300 USD.

Do the math and you’ll realize that promoting a service which the Internet “needs” is not going to be difficult at all.  It’s kind of like trying to convince a mother that she needs to go to the grocery store – do you really need to sell the idea of outsourcing content to webmasters?  Not if they’re serious about what they do.

I know some of you are thinking, well now that Elijah and Veronica are managing this they won’t be writing on here as much anymore!  Quite the opposite.  We are both home and excited to finally have the time to reach out and enjoy the company of all your crazy critters in the blogosphere.  I hope you’re ready because shit’s about to get hectic!

Cheers,

Elijah
